Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 19, 2026 · Effective date: April 19, 2026
1. Introduction
Brightline One LLC ("Brightline", "we", "our", or "us") operates the Haven mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and the rights you have with respect to your personal information. It applies to the App and to this website at havendailybible.com.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information — your email address, your name (if provided), and, if you use Sign in with Apple, the Apple-issued identifier and the private relay email address if you choose to hide your email.
- User-generated content — prayer requests, journal entries, saved stories, and prompts you submit within the App.
- Subscription and purchase information — we receive purchase receipts and subscription status from Apple and our subscription-management provider (RevenueCat). We do not receive or store your payment card information; all billing is handled by Apple.
- Usage and product analytics — information about how you interact with the App (features used, screens visited, buttons tapped, session duration, and flow events) collected via PostHog and Google Firebase Analytics. This data is used by us only to understand and improve the App; it is not shared with advertisers.
- Diagnostic data — crash reports and performance traces, collected via Google Firebase Crashlytics.
- Device information — device model, operating system version, language and region settings, and non-persistent device identifiers for analytics and crash reporting.
3. We Do Not Track You for Advertising
Haven does not track you across apps and websites owned by other companies. We do not use the Apple Advertising Identifier (IDFA), we do not display third-party advertising, we do not share your data with data brokers, and we do not sell your personal information. Because we do not engage in tracking as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, the App does not present an ATT prompt.
We do use first-party product analytics (PostHog and Firebase Analytics) to understand how users interact with Haven so we can improve it. These analytics events are tied only to a randomly generated, app-specific identifier and are never linked with data from other companies' apps or websites for advertising or advertising-measurement purposes.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the App and its features
- Personalize stories, lessons, and prayers based on your input
- Authenticate your account and secure our services
- Process and manage subscriptions and purchase receipts
- Send transactional communications and, if enabled, daily notifications
- Respond to support requests and communicate with you
- Diagnose crashes, measure performance, and improve stability
- Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms
- Comply with legal obligations
5. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK Users)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data under the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract — to provide the App and its features to you
- Legitimate interests — to secure, improve, and diagnose the App, and to prevent fraud and abuse
- Consent — where required, e.g. for optional notifications; you may withdraw consent at any time
- Legal obligation — where we are required to process data to comply with law
6. Your Content Is Private
Your prayer requests and journal entries are private to you. We do not sell them, share them for advertising, or use them to train AI models. Your prompts are transmitted to AI providers (see Section 8) solely to generate a response to you, and we configure those services not to retain your content for training.
7. How We Share Information
We share information only in the following circumstances:
- With service providers who process information on our behalf under contractual obligations to protect your data (see Section 8).
- With Apple, in connection with App Store purchases, subscriptions, and Sign in with Apple.
- For legal reasons, when required to comply with law, legal process, or valid governmental request; to enforce our Terms; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Brightline, our users, or others.
- In a business transfer, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to confidentiality protections.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their independent marketing.
8. Third-Party Services We Use
The App relies on the following service providers. Each operates under its own privacy policy:
- Apple Inc. — App Store distribution, in-app purchases, Sign in with Apple, StoreKit, and push notifications. apple.com/legal/privacy
- RevenueCat, Inc. — subscription management and purchase receipt validation. revenuecat.com/privacy
- Google LLC (Firebase) — analytics, crash reporting, and authentication infrastructure. firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- PostHog Inc. — first-party product analytics (event tracking, funnels, feature usage). PostHog processes events tied to a random, app-specific identifier and does not use this data for cross-company advertising. Where session recording is enabled, all user inputs and user-generated content (such as prayer requests and journal entries) are masked and never captured. posthog.com/privacy
- OpenAI, L.L.C. — AI inference for story, lesson, and prayer generation. Prompts are processed to generate a response; we use API endpoints that do not retain content for model training. openai.com/policies/privacy-policy
- Anthropic, PBC — AI inference for story, lesson, and prayer generation. Prompts are processed to generate a response; we use API endpoints that do not retain content for model training. anthropic.com/legal/privacy
9. International Data Transfers
Brightline is based in the United States, and our service providers may process your information in the United States or other countries. When we transfer personal data from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland to a country not deemed to provide an adequate level of data protection, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, where required.
10. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active and as necessary to provide the App to you. If you delete your account, your personal data and user-generated content will be deleted within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
11. Data Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. For users located in the European Economic Area, the minimum age is 16 unless your local law permits a lower age with parental consent. If you believe a child under these ages has provided us with personal information, please contact us at contact@brightlineone.com and we will delete it promptly.
13. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Request deletion of your personal data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Request data portability
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@brightlineone.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
14. California Residents (CCPA/CPRA Notice)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, provides you additional rights:
- Right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
- Right to delete personal information we have collected from you
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information
- Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights
We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted by CCPA/CPRA. To exercise any California right, email contact@brightlineone.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
15. Sign in with Apple
If you sign in with Apple, Apple shares with us only the information you authorize — typically your name (if provided) and either your real email address or a private Apple relay address. We use that information solely to create and manage your account. You may revoke access at any time via Settings → [your name] → Sign in with Apple on your Apple device.
16. Push Notifications
If you opt in, we send daily reminders and occasional service notifications via Apple Push Notification Service. You can disable notifications at any time in the App settings or in iOS Settings → Notifications → Haven.
17. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or by email (if we have one on file), and we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
